Ingrid Furtado
Ingrid Furtado is a flexible, driven and engaged professional with a solid background in communication. She is currently expanding her capabilities with a Master of Science in Foresight at University of Houston. She has worked as a beat news writer in Brazil and also as a reporter for an Oil and Gas global price reporting agency. As a futurist, she paves her way to help organizations and communities to anticipate significant changes to design and build sustainable futures. Furtado is a member of the Association of Professional Futurists (APF) and was recently honored with the 1st Place Award in the Master Student Group Category for 2023 by APF.
Native from South America, she firmly advocates diversity as a catalyst for peace in society. Kindness, in her view, harmonizes every action in life, while empathy, creativity, intellect, leadership, and growth form the bedrock of her endeavors. As futures researcher, she explores topics that are still considered taboos such as the future of intimacy, sex, sex workers, mental health and women’s pleasure as transformative tools for knowledge, empowerment, and social change.
