Julien Wacquez is a sociologist. His work focuses on the scientific uses of science fiction, speculative writing, and futurology. His work has been published in French (Gradhiva, Terrain, Socio) and international journals (Modern Language Notes, Science Fiction Studies). He is editor-in-chief of the online magazine Angle Mort, which explores the boundaries between science and literature, reality and fiction, the possible and the impossible, and was awarded “Best European Science Fiction Magazine of the Year” in 2018 by the European Science Fiction Society.
