Richard A. Slaughter completed his Ph.D. in Futures Studies at Lancaster University in 1982. He subsequently became recognised internationally as a futurist / foresight practitioner, author, editor, teacher and innovator. During the early 2000s he was President of the WFSF and Foundation Professor of Foresight at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne. He currently works out of Foresight International, Brisbane, Australia and, with Luke van der Laan, has co-designed two Futures Units for a new course at the University of Southern Queensland.
