Lin LI obtained his Ph.D. in History from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Education and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Basic Education Reform and Development, Faculty of Education, East China Normal University. His academic interests cover traditional Chinese philosophy, history of education and school education in cross-cultural contexts. His recent publications include Progress, Methodology and Exemplary Studies of Daily Life History (2023), Teaching as Learning: Etymological Investigation, Canonical Analysis and Experiential Reflection in Chinese Cultural Context (2023), Teaching beyond words: ‘silence’ and its pedagogical implications discoursed in the early classical texts of Confucianism, Daoism and Zen Buddhism (2020).
